Valium has saved my career

Valium has saved my career

I work in one of those fields that are boring to anyone who isn’t involved in the very thing so I will not bore you with tedious details of the industry I am in. It is enough to say that the company from The Office deals in stuff that is much more interesting than the stuff we deal in. I have been with the company from its beginnings and I like to think that I contributed to the fact that we have become one of the biggest players on the market. The proof for this is that I have become one of the key people in the company and about two or three years ago I became the guy that attends the conferences, makes new contacts and deals with other companies from the industry.

And to tell you the truth, I was not worried at all about this. It turned out that I was, at least deep inside. Namely, the first conference that I attended was one of the worst experiences of my life. Everything was going great until I had to give a speech as we were named the best company form our state. I simply crumbled on the stage. I felt that I would welcome a meteor hitting the room. I just wanted an out. I was feeling as if I was having a heart attack, but somehow I managed to stumble and stutter through the speech. The next conference- same thing.

Valium has saved my careerThe next one, once again.Next step was logically to check with my psychiatrist to see what I can do about this. She told me that the best thing would be to take Valium every time I have to give a speech. So, the next conference, I had the best speech I ever wrote, popped a Valium and I was ready. It was a success. I am not the kind of a guy who boasts about the things he’s done, but I have to say that they are still talking about that speech, two years from it. Without Valium, this would have been impossible.
